In March 2017, Samsung Electronics announced a deal with the American car infotainment and audio company, Harman. The reason for the acquisition was to integrate Samsung’s and Harman’s SmartThings all together into one platform. Currently, the vehicle was not part of ecosystem. Samsung changed it in November 2018 at SDC (Samsung Developer Conference), in which they unveiled the integration the company had made to bring the vehicle to the SmartThings arena. Today, after a year from its acquisition, Samsung fully figured out how to bring the same life experience in the home and making it available on the road.
